Elongate case has already cost Elon Musk more than $10 billion

At the end of last week we learned that Elon Musk was involved in a sexual harassment case against a SpaceX employee. The launcher indeed regularly charters planes which allow the entrepreneur and his teams to move more quickly and easily between the different sites of the firm.

On board are hostesses and stewards – but Elon Musk, who is a very busy man, specifically asked to be surrounded by a hostess who can deliver massages. SpaceX even encouraged the employee in question to officially obtain a license.

Elon Musk has already lost 10+ billion dollars because of the “Elongate” affair

But during a flight, Elon Musk would have liked to go a little further. He would then have discovered his towel revealing his erect penis. The stewardess then refused to go any further, and subsequently saw her number of shifts reduced. She filed a complaint internally, but after a mediation phase, the person concerned agreed not to sue the contractor or to speak out on this subject in exchange for 250,000 dollars.

However, at the end of last week one of the “friends” of the hostess, obviously without her agreement, chose to reveal the whole story to the press. Elon Musk sees in this a “political twist” following his decision to buy Twitter, and his political positioning more frankly Republican than Democrat.

This defense does not seem to have been enough to convince some of the investors. At its lowest point on Friday, Tesla stock price fell 10.8% before stabilizing at -6.4% from the previous day. Which means that more than 10 billion dollars of Elon Musk’s fortune literally flew away.

But that’s nothing compared to what Elon Musk has lost since the start of 2022. Indeed, the billionaire’s war chest has melted in a few months by more than 69 billion dollars – including a drop of $49 billion from the Twitter takeover. However, there is no need to make a donation to him: Elon Musk remains to date the richest man in the world with a fortune estimated at more than 200 billion dollars.
