Tesla’s “Supercharger” station (4 units), located in Munsbach, can now be used by electric cars from other brands. This is what the American automaker said on Friday in a press release. The charging capacity of the “Supercharger” is 150 kW. Tesla explains that the average duration of a recharge (“up to 275 km”) is between 15 and 30 minutes.

Drivers of non-Tesla electric cars can use a Tesla “Supercharger” through the automaker’s app. “Customers can choose to pay a monthly fee (12.99 euros in Luxembourg) to benefit from a lower price per kWh, like Tesla owners (0.43 euros in Luxembourg), specifies Tesla. Non-members will have access to it but at a higher price per kWh (on average 0.57 euro in Luxembourg)”.

As a reminder, the government aims for half of the Luxembourg car fleet to be electric by 2030. Luxembourg currently has 700 Chargy terminals, i.e. 1,400 charging points. In addition, 88 SuperChargy terminals (charging capacity of up to 300 kW) are to be installed in the country by the end of the year. Let us also remember that Petro-Center has invested in Luxembourg to make electric vehicle charging faster (also 300 kW).
