It all started with Dalton Hurd from USA and Ayrton De Craene from Belgium. We began creating exclusive WordPress themes together to sell and split profit in 2008. After doing this for quite a while, we decided to invest both of our skillsets in a website called WPmonk, in which we sold a couple themes. It was hastily put together, and we didn’t feel comfortable advertising it. So after a long break we eventually decided to go back to the idea, and take our time to develop something worth creating themes for and supporting. Thus Monkify was resurrected from the ashes.

I was drafted to Dribbble about 8 months ago by the amazing Tim Van Damme. At the time I had been active on DeviantART, but since joining I’ve essentially quit and moved solely to Dribbble in terms of posting my work. It’s full of a lot of inspiration, and great designers to offer their expertise on improving my own work. While I only post my completed projects to my own portfolio, I do post a lot of work that’s in development on my Dribbble, stuff that won’t see the light of day for months. This is the second theme developed for Monkify, which is designed to be business-oriented and specifically for app developers. Our goal before developing was to make it incredibly flexible to suit the needs of any developers out there. Developing features such as color schemes, display options, and custom shortcodes help make this an extremely flexible theme for developers.

Flowhub was the first WordPress CMS theme developed for Monkify, an upcoming CMS theme provider that I’m working on. The aim was to keep it simple, but add a lot of extensive functionality and customizable options within the WordPress admin. It has temporarily been placed on ThemeForest and is very successful with a total of 500+ sales.
